PortfolioPortfolioPortfolio

Created by Alex Box, Illamasqua’s cutting edge Creative Director, this collection of lip colours and blushers has its heart in the 1980’s, just as colour turned bright and bold. These three new shades of Matte Lip Liquid (£18.50) are all long-lasting and highly pigmented. ‘Surrender’, a warm pink, ‘Exotic’, a vivid orange, and ‘Forbidden’, a sensual pink, give a comfortable matte finish without dryness. The new Velvet Blushers in ‘Sleek’, a dusty coral and ‘Peaked’, a dusky rose (£18), have a lightweight cream texture that sets to a soft powder matte.

Poppy King, The Lipstick Queen, has created an unusual lip product in the shape of Oxymoron – a matte gloss (£22). The formulation feels like a gloss but appears matte. This lip-cheek rouge doesn’t dry, applies fluidly, yet dries to a matte finish, giving lips and cheeks a subtle fullness. Available in four shades: ‘Honest Politican’, a pinky brown; ‘Free Ride’, a pretty peach; ‘Minor Crisis’, a rosy pink and ‘Open Secret’, a pop pink. Also new for next month is Let Them Eat Cake (£35). Created by Poppy with Marie Antoinette’s famous quote in her head, this is a lavender lipstick shot with rose gold sparkle, designed to suit any skintone.
