To celebrate the patron saint of love, Illamasqua has launched 2 new lip products to co-incide with their #imtheone social media campaign. Intense Lipsgloss in Touch (£14.50) is a thick gloss with shimmer particles and Colouring pencil in Feisty (£14) are both bold red and sit along side Illamasqua’s three classic reds. Frontcover meets Kristian Aadnevik
Frontcover has collaborated on an exclusive make up collection with designer Kristian Aadnevik. Kristin is considered a rising designer star and has already dressed Rihanna and Beyoncé. The Packing Case (£29.50) was designed using fabrics from his S/S14 LFW collection and contains the make up that will be used in London as well as a set of exclusive brushes. The look for his LFW show combines bronze eyes, subtle contouring and natural lips in four baked powder eyeshadows, lipstick, mascara, blusher and nail polish. Frontcover has also developed a new formulation product called Shadowglow, a liquid that turns satin pressed or matte powders into a youthful dewy finish (£14.50).
Obsessive Colour Cosmetic Pencils
Further expanding their colour choices, OCC launch 12 new pencils (£11). Ranging from everyday essential neutrals (Trick, Pennyroyal, Sybil) to playful vivids (Pool Boy, Hoochie, Grandma) as well as a clear, invisible liner (Anti-Feathered). OCC is 100% vegan and cruelty-free, and these pencils can be used on lips, eyes, face and body.
National Wedding Shows links with bareMinerals
The National Wedding Show has announced its collaboration with bareMinerals make-up as a head line sponsor. Brides will be able to see the work of the bareMinerals team on the catwalk and learn how to recreate the looks at the bareMineral’s Beauty Bar. Together with Essie for nails and Fudge for hair, organisers hope that this will create a one stop shop for all brides-to-be giving them inspiration and education. The National Wedding Show is held at London Olympia 21st-23rd February , NEC Birmingham on 28th February – 2nd March and Manchester Central 15th-16th March 2014.
Inspired by Ancient Greece, the boutique cosmetics brand MeMeMe has launched ten long stay lip colours (£8.50) each celebrating a mythical goddess. Shea Butter and Vitamin E enriched to keep lips supple and soft, colours range from Elektra – a hot magneta to Eva – a china rose. With Valentine’s Day just round the corner we love Aphrodite, a rich ruby red.
Chanel launches their Spring Collection with an explosion of red, pink, plum and violet hues. At the centre of the collection is a Chanel spring red. For eyes, The Quadrille palette (£42) is a quartet of natural and intense shadows ranging from grey lavender to intense brown. Single pot eyeshadows, Diapason (£24) are shimmering shades of pink and purple. For Lips, Levres Scintillantes (£21) are sparkly glosses in candy red and soft pink, Rouge Allure Velvet (£25) Rouge Allure (£25) and Rouge Coco (£24) are nude pink to spring red as well as Le Crayon Levres (£17.50) in Sonic Pink. The pink on-trend theme continues with Le Blush Crème de Chanel (£27) in 2 high pigment shades.
Pink is the colour for Bobbi Brown this season too. Uber Pink Collection has four key offers for cheeks, lips nails and lip glosses. The limited edition Illuminating Bronzers (£27) are smooth pressed powders blended with pearl to give shimmer as well as definition. A choice of two pink Lip Colors (£19) Neon or Nude as well as Popsicle and Baby in Lip Gloss (£18) complete the pinks.
