Lancôme has announced its spring 2014 make-up collection, French Ballerine. The satin ribbon which features on a ballet dancer’s shoes and leotard can be found restyled in this limited edition collection. The new collection includes: the Doll Eyes Hypnôse Palette (£37) a mirrored palette featuring five satin pinks ranging from sugared almond to smoky mauve; a Gloss In Love Volumiser (£20) which plumps lips with its hot-cold contrast effect created by combining polyols with menthol and a formula enriched with hyaluronic acid; the Vernis In Love Undercoat Colour Booster, (£12.50) Lancôme’s first ever colour-optimising base, an opaque white undercoat, enriched with a calcium extract known for its nail-strengthening properties; a Vernis in Love Rose Satin shade (£12.50); the Hypnôse Ultra Dazzling Colours (£16.50) each, an eye shadow range in two new shades of pink and gold; Khôl Hypnôse Waterproof (£16.50) which amplifies eyes with a creamy texture; and finally the Highlighter Blush, £35, which brings a flush of pink to cheeks in Rose Ballerine.
New mini kits from Trish McEvoy
Trish McEvoy’s limited-edition, Makeup Planner Azure, is a collection of Trish’s essential basics and newest shades, alongside the Power of Brushes Collection Azure. The Makeup Planner (£125) includes: a Petite Makeup Planner Azure case; the Eye Base Essentials Bare; Intense Gel Eye Liner Black; a Pencil Sharpener; Lash Curling Mascara; Instant Eye Lift Shade 1; Petite Makeup Wardrobing Page; Bronzer Golden; Face Shaper Highlight 1; Blush Natural; Translucent Finishing Powder and the new Flawless Lip Color Chic. Bobbi Brown introduces the limited edition Nude Glow Collection, which features four easy-to-use products that can be used to brighten looks. Products include an Eye Palette containing four eye shadows (£35) in a number of textures and finishes that can be used day or night. The Sheer Lip Color has a lightweight formula which contains shea butter, murumuru butter and apricot kernel oils to rejuvenate and nourish. The Sheer Lip colour (£19) is available in Pink Gold, Pink Flush and Pink Rose. The final new addition is the Brightening Finishing Powder (£40) which is presented in a sleek compact featuring six luminous shades that blend together to illuminate skin. Formulated with a skin brightening blend of mulberry, grape, and scutellaria extracts, the formula gives skin a healthy-looking glow and soft texture. This is offered in Porcelain Pearl, Brightening Nudes and Bronze Glow.
EVE LOM’s complexion perfection
EVE LOM launches a new cosmetics collection in February. The radiance-perfecting complexion products additionally act as advanced skincare treatments, using the brand’s BerryFlux Vita formula to minimise fine lines, pores and imperfections. YSL Beauté has just launched their new spring collection 2014. New products comprise of a Rosy Blush Palette (£42.50) featuring a blush and highlighter using a creamy-powdery texture; and four new shades of Rouge Volupté (£24), a balm to plump and nourish lips in Fuchsia Tourbillon, Corail Jalouse, Rose Neillia and Rose Asarine. Gloss Volupté also launches offering to provide wet-look colour to lips. The Glossy Optimizer contains lightweight, shiny oils and a vinyl polymer to form a fine veil on the lips’ surface and a volumising 3D optical effect, shades include Rose Fusion, Prune Organdi, Rose Orfèvre and Terriblement Fuchsia (£21) which make up the spring 2014 look.
